Bangor, July 28, 2022 – Rudman Winchell marks another milestone in it’s over 100-year history as it expands to its second location in Ellsworth, Maine. The firm’s new location at 77 State Street in Ellsworth is walking distance to Downtown and just steps from Ellsworth City Hall. The expansion serves as a strategic exigency to better meet our client and staff needs. By growing our footprint in Maine, we will more easily attract young talent and meet the growing need for legal services in Downeast Maine. Managing partner, Chris Austin, said that “the expansion will help us serve our clients, communities and firm employees. This location in Ellsworth complements the Bangor team and represents our steadfast commitment to continuing to provide excellent service to the people and businesses of Maine.”
This expansion will add three new employees to the Rudman Winchell team, with attorney Diane S. O’Connell, taking the lead. Diane studied accounting and law at Otago University in New Zealand, beginning her legal career in 1996. After emigrating to the United States and being admitted to the Maine Bar, Diane moved Downeast in 2003, where she joined James Patterson in his law practice in Ellsworth. Diane has been serving the Hancock County community ever since.
When Diane joins Rudman Winchell, she will continue her practice in Ellsworth with the legal resources of a nationally recognized firm. Her areas of practice focus on commercial and residential real estate, corporate and small business, estate planning and administration, municipal law.
“We are excited to have Diane joining our team here at Rudman Winchell. She and her staff serve the Ellsworth community with dedication and expertise, and we are glad that she is going to be continuing her work with us going forward,” says Michelle Beal, Firm Administrator here at Rudman Winchell.
