Jonathan P. Hunter

Jonathan P. Hunter is an experienced litigator whose practice at Rudman Winchell focuses on appeals and
complex disputes. He has briefed and argued dozens of cases before the Maine Supreme Judicial Court and has
handled numerous administrative appeals before the Maine Superior Court. He has also appeared before the
United States First Circuit Court of Appeals.

Before joining Rudman Winchell, Jonathan served as a law clerk for the Maine Superior Court and the
Honorable Warren M. Silver of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.

Originally from Medford, Massachusetts, Jonathan earned his bachelor’s degree in history, summa cum laude,
from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He received his law degree, summa cum laude, from Suffolk
University Law School, where he served as managing editor of the Suffolk University Law Review.

During law school, Jonathan worked as a judicial intern for the Massachusetts Superior Court and as a
student prosecutor through the Suffolk Prosecutors Clinical Program. He received the Best Brief Award, the
Distinguished Oral Advocate Award, and Jurisprudence Awards in Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Securities
Regulation, and Federal Income Tax.

Jonathan currently serves on the advisory committees for the Maine Rules of Appellate Procedure, the Maine
Rules of Civil Procedure, and the Local Rules of the United States District Court for the District of Maine.
